Fly the flag

JANUARY

On the 2nd Joan Constable celebrated her birthday. Her friends at Care for the Elderly flew the flag for her. Happy Birthday Joan.  Perc, Pam and Kev and the family all remembered with much love Connie Locke on her birthday the 19th. The 20th was the birthday of Martin Deacon and his friends at Care for the elderly sent greetings and flew the flag for him.

Brackeyn Thomas celebrated his 16th birthday on the 24th and Nan and Gramp sent lots of love with the Flag card. Two birthdays on the 28th for Sandra Hitchens on her 67th, with greetings from her ever loving husband, Edwin, Michelle and Lucy (they all said “get well soon”), and for Graham Williams with Happy Birthday greetings from Care for the Elderly. We flew the flag on Sunday 29th to remember the 41st Birthday of Mark Hollister. Always in the hearts of Jodie and son Corey.

FEBRUARY

The flag flies proudly on the 9th for the Diamond wedding of Peter and Pearl Johns. Many congratulations to you both from the whole village.

On the 23rd it flew again, this time for the birthday of Mary Olden from her friends at Care for the Elderly. Happy Birthday Mary

MARCH

We have two centenarians in the parish this month. On the 6th Emily Teakel will celebrate her 100th birthday. Colin, Brenda, Sue and Bridget and all the family send their love and congratulations.

Mollie Lampard celebrates her 100th birthday on the 16th. John, Shelia and the family all send their love and congratulations, and so will the villagers. I hope our Flag Cards arrive with the ones from The Queen!

You can now find us on Facebook. St Peter’s Flag Fund

If your request for the flag comes after the magazine deadline day, 1st February it may not appear in the March  edition but in the following one

Flying the Flag supports the two choirs at St Peter’s, the Sunday choir and the Festival Choir. Not only does the flag flutter at the church flagpole for you, you receive a customised card with whatever greeting you wish. We celebrate anything; if it’s special to you we will arrange it, even at short notice- and all for just £5. We are grateful to the many who donate more than £5, but will keep the official amount at £5 where it has been for nearly 10 years.
